Many of the Maya today keep their culture alive by continuing to practice the ceremonies and rituals that have been handed down for over 1,000 years. Deep in the jungle, at the bottom of a dry cenote, is another Mayan ball court. Here, modern Maya practice ceremonies and faith of their ancestors. (This was definitely the highlight of our trip and one of the most beautiful and spiritual experiences of our lives! AMAZING!)
